SERMON: Ingathering Celebration and Water Communion & Being a Unitarian Universalist by Rev. Tom Capo
What does it mean to be a Unitarian Universalist? As we come back together to start our church year, I felt that I would share some of my beliefs on the matter, as well as some other UUs thoughts on being a Unitarian Universalist. Please come prepared to celebrate the beginning of our church year. Each year we join together to share with one another about our many journeys over the summer. We have a special Water Communion-to celebrate our being apart and our coming back together---renewing our connection with one another. Each person is encouraged to bring water from their travels over the summer (if you don't bring water, we will have water that you can use to symbolize your many travels) to pour into our communal water as they share their meaningful experiences.
