    The Intelligence of the Heart
    April 8-10, 2005

    Horizon UU Church and N. TX Area UU Societies (NTAUUS) are delighted to bring Paul Ray to Dallas to share his vision with us. Ray, along with Sherry Anderson, co-authored The Cultural Creatives: How 50 Million People Are Changing the World. This sociological study reveals a new demographic, the "cultural creatives," whose beliefs and actions are consistent with the seven principles of Unitarian Universalism. Dr. Ray will be speaking to how UUs can create connections with cultural creatives and mobilize to shape society into a "wisdom culture."

    Ministering to Families in Today's World
    June 23-27, 2005

    The Family Matters Task Force will be sponsoring a number of workshops at General Assembly, with a focus on speaking and living our family values, families' faith stories, interfaith families, adoption, reproductive technology, special needs, aging parents, violence, terrorism, intergenerational worship and church life.

    The Good Faith is Messy: Ambiguities, Contradictions, Paradoxes & Delights
    July 24-29, 2005

    The theme speaker is Rev. Richard S. Gilbert, M.Div., D.Min.

    Jim Scott & Matt Meyer: Artists in Residence
    They will offer music to SWUUSI participants in a variety of venues- worship, performance and workshops.
