POEM: In the Beginning
In the Beginning
Your Hands gave birth to substance raw
And snared the pebble, gas, and dust.
With gravity's faint and tenuous straw
Weaved You all galaxies as vast !
The worlds were millions, yet dark 'n still,
For no eyes saw, nor ears heard.
Your Breath cast spirit to instill,
And life You wrought out 'f bare earth.
Awakened creatures to new dawn,
We cried, ate, surely did we play.
But then at rest, the questions spawned:
Where from, what for, where to, and why?
May we listen to silence, as it were,
For there Your Voice whispers with an answer.
